Pawtuxet River

Pawtuxet River TrailThe Pawtuxet River is an important Rhode Island watershed with its origin at the Scituate Reservoir and endpoint in Pawtuxet Cove at the head of the Narragansett Bay estuary. The Friends of the Pawtuxet maintain the Pawtuxet River Trail as it winds its way through the eastern side of the City. The Friends of the Pawtuxet work with the Pawtuxet River Authority to ensure a clean and safe habitat for local flora and fauna and offers guided walks and Earth Day clean-ups at this scenic and well-used trail.

Please visit the Friends of the Pawtuxet web site for up-to-date activities.
